1400hrs or 1430hrs Pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu and depart to Klias Wetlands. Klias is located 110km south of Kota Kinabalu and takes about 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu City. On arrival, light refreshments are served before the tour starts. After a short briefing, board on a small boat and proceed to cruise in search for wildlife along the river.
Among the wildlife that can be spotted during the cruise are proboscis monkeys, long tail macaques, with some luck silver langurs, crocodiles, monitor lizards, tree snakes and of course an amazing variety of birds. During the journey back to the jetty during dusk, witness hundreds of blinking fire flies lighting the mangrove trees as Christmas trees. Upon reaching the jetty, scrumptious local dinner is served. There after retrace journey back to hotel.
